August 20, 1971, was a cloudy day in the Sindh province of Pakistan. On that day, Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman, largely unknown to most outside his family, friends, and colleagues, made a courageous decision that would forever change his legacy. He transformed from a dedicated pilot in the Pakistan Air Force into the honored Bir Shreshtha Matiur Rahman. Today, every schoolboy and schoolgirl in free Bangladesh is captivated by his story, feeling a deep connection and inspiration from his sacrifice. They dream of one day soaring through the skies as pilots, wearing their sunglasses, pilot hats, and their proud uniforms. It’s a beautiful reminder that the freedom to chase these dreams was made possible by the selfless sacrifices of our heroes, who bravely fought for our independence. Their legacy continues to inspire a generation, allowing children to envision a future filled with hope and possibility

Care Guide
Get to know your watch:
It is an automatic watch therefore it has no battery. It is powered by a self-winding movement. When you move your hand, a special rotor inside the watch spins and keeps powering the watch. If you don’t wear the watch for a certain period of time the power will die down and the watch will stop. This is normal. When you decide to wear it again, you will just have to gently set it to right time and enjoy the watch. You may also wind the watch 20-30 times at this point. Please don’t overwind the watch. Keep the watch away from moisture, please be careful when washing hands.
If you get caught in rain, please take off the watch and keep it in your pocket or in your bag to keep it dry. Please remember it is a Dress Watch and not a Sports Watch. Please be gentle with the watch when changing time. Do not change date when the watch reaches 9PM. That is when special date change mechanism kicks in, therefore manually forcing date and time change can harm the movement. Keep the watch clean. It is made with premium materials: crystal, leather and metal parts.
However, nothing is beyond damage. Have the watch serviced by a professional, although it shouldn’t need any servicing in at least six to eight years. This watch is powered by a proprietary in house Japanese movement which is not sold separately. It has to be cared for by professionals. If cared for properly, your next generation can enjoy the watch even more than you will have done for years to come. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, cold or hot.
Please store the watch in a safe place, preferably in the box we provided. It is one of a kind box; hand made by us in Bangladesh. This box should keep the watch safe and dust free; Please do not drop the watch. Don’t place the watch near magnets or electronics such as speaker, computer, microwave, metal detector, X-ray machine etc. Automatic watches have many small, fragile moving parts that can get damaged when in close proximity to strong magnetic fields.
আপনার ঘড়িকে জানুন
* “BWM নজরুল” একটি Automatic ঘড়ি অতএব এতে কোনো ব্যাটারি নেই। এটি একটি Self-winding (স্ব-চাবি যুক্ত) যন্ত্রের দ্বারা চালিত হয়। আপনার হাতের চলাচল ঘড়ির ভিতরে একটি বিশেষ মোটর ঘুরাতে সাহায্য করে এবং ঘড়িটিকে চালনা শক্তি, বা চাবি দিতে থাকে।
যদি আপনি একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্য ঘড়িটি না পরেন তাহলে ঘড়িটি বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে। এটা স্বাভাবিক। আপনি যখন ঘড়িটি আবার পরবেন, তখন আপনাকে সযত্নে সঠিক সময় সেট করতে হবে এবং ঘড়িটি আবার শুরু হবে। হাতে পরার আগে ঘড়িটি ২০ থেকে ৩০ বার ম্যানুয়ালি চাবি দিতে পারেন, এর বেশি না।
ঘড়িটি আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে রাখুন, অনুগ্রহ করে হাত ধোয়ার সময় সতর্ক থাকুন।
* অনুগ্রহ করে মনে রাখবেন যে এটি একটি Dress Watch, Sports Watch না। * যদি আপনি বৃষ্টিতে পড়ে যান, দয়া করে ঘড়িটি খুলে ফেলুন এবং এটি শুকানো রাখার জন্য আপনার পকেট বা ব্যাগে রাখুন। * সময় পরিবর্তন করার সময় ধীরে এবং নরম হাতে তা করুন। জোর করে করবেন না। * ঘড়ির কাটা স্বাভাবিক ভাবে যেদিকে ঘোরে তার উল্টো দিকে ঘুরিয়ে কখনো সময় ঠিক করবেননা।
* ঘড়িতে রাত ৯ টার পর তারিখ পরিবর্তন করবেন না। রাত নয়টার পর ঘড়ির যন্ত্রে একটি বিশেষ তারিখ পরিবর্তনের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয় এবং ঘড়িটিকে তারিখ পরিবর্তন করতে সাহায্য করে এই সময়ে ম্যানুয়ালি সময় এবং তারিখ পরিবর্তন করলে ঘড়ির মেকানিজমে বিশেষ ক্ষতি হতে পারে।
* ঘড়িটি পরিষ্কার জায়গায় রাখুন। ঘড়িটি প্রিমিয়াম উপাদান দিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়েছে। এর ক্রিস্টাল, চামড়া এবং ধাতব অংশ আজকের বিশ্ব বাজারে সবচেয়ে সেরা মানের।
* ঘড়িটি একজন পেশাদার মেকানিক দ্বারা সার্ভিস করাবেন, যদিও ছয় থেকে আট বছরের মধ্যে কোনও সার্ভিস এর প্রয়োজন হবে না। ঘড়িটিতে জাপানি একটি প্রিমিয়াম কোম্পানির মুভমেন্ট ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে যা কখনো বাইরে বিক্রি হয় না। সঠিকভাবে যত্ন নিলে আপনার পরবর্তী প্রজন্ম ঘড়িটি আপনার চেয়েও বেশি উপভোগ করতে পারবে বলে আমাদের বিশ্বাস।
চরম তাপমাত্রা, তা হোক ঠান্ডা বা গরমে অধিক সময় ধরে ঘড়িটি রাখবেননা।
* অনুগ্রহ করে ঘড়িটি একটি নিরাপদ স্থানে সংরক্ষণ করুন যেমন আমাদের দেওয়া বাক্সে। এটি বাংলাদেশে আমাদের নিজস্ব কারিগর দ্বারা সুম্পূর্ণ হাতের তৈরি একটি বাক্স। এই বাক্সটি ঘড়িটিকে নিরাপদ এবং ধুলোমুক্ত রাখবে।
অনুগ্রহ করে ঘড়িটি মাটিতে পড়ে যাওয়া থেকে সাবধান হবেন।
ঘড়িটি শক্তিশালী চুম্বক বা ইলেকট্রনিক্স যেমন স্পিকার, ল্যাপটপ, মাইক্রোওয়েভ, মেটাল ডিটেক্টর ইত্যাদির কাছে রাখবেন না। অটোমেটিক ঘড়িতে অনেক ছোট, চলমান যন্ত্রাংশ থাকে যা অন্য ইলেক্ট্রনিক্সের ম্যাগনেটিক ফিল্ড দ্বারা ক্ষতি হতে পার।
